Who you are
- 3+ years of experience with general administrative people topics such as absence and contract management, forms and certificates, Spanish labor law and payroll
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Excellent communication and organization skills, a proactive mindset and high service orientation

What the job involves
- As a Payroll & Admin Specialist you are the first point of contact for many of our colleagues, supporting them throughout the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
- You will play a key role in ensuring smooth payroll processing, benefits administration and compliance with labor laws while maintaining accurate employee records
- Onboarding: Manage employment agreements and handle general contract management, collect necessary documents and employee information, organize and manage personnel records, including contracts, personal documentation and related files, coordinate pre onboarding, ensure compliance with mandatory training and policies
- Payroll: Prepare and process payroll by accurately compiling and verifying data related to employee attendance, absences, overtime, bonuses and collaborate with the external provider for the correct payroll processing, ensure tax compliance, respond to employee payroll queries and discrepancies
- Benefits & Compensation: Administer benefits, oversee leave management (vacation, sick leave, parental leave), ensure compliance with benefits related laws
- HR Systems & Data Management: Analyze HR metrics and support with HR reporting that is needed for many stakeholders in the organization by utilizing internal HRIS, maintain employee records and HRIS systems, ensure GDPR/data privacy compliance, improve automation of HR processes where possible
- Labor Law & Compliance: stay updated on local labor laws and regulations, ensure employment contracts and policies comply with legal requirements, handle work permits and visa processes when needed, oversee disciplinary actions and grievance procedures, manage internal audits and government reporting requirements, support investigations related to workplace disputes
- Offboarding: manage resignations/terminations processes, coordinate final payroll and benefits adjustments, ensure return of company assets and access deactivation, handle legal and compliance steps
- Contribute to team projects

Freight forwarding — the process of organising how and where items will be shipped around the world, and specifically the technology that underpins that work — continues to be a huge area of the logistics market.
Sennder, a digital freight forwarder focused on transporting cargo around Europe, is working towards becoming one of the biggest players in the European market. Sennder's current strategy, following major funding, is to expand rapidly, building upon existing expansions including Cars&Cargo, Uber Freight Europe and Everoad.
Although it is one of the most well-funded of the freight forwarders, Sennder will face direct competition in Europe from the likes of Zencargo, as well as international pressure from international giants such as the US' Flexport. To keep them ahead in the market, Sennder must ensure it keeps on top of developing tech such as fleet management systems and the use of the blockchain to manage automation. As well as this, they must battle with an increasingly climate-conscious consumer base putting growing pressure on the logistics industry to cut down its environmental costs. Ensuring it keeps a balance between performance and innovation will be crucial to Sennder's success going forward.
