Who you are
- This position is ideal for a full-stack developer with a strong foundation in computer science concepts and a deep understanding of software development and system design
- We expect the developer to have 6-8 years of web development experience including mentoring junior developers and leading in solving system design problems
- 6-8 years Full Stack Development experience using HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and SQL
- Fundamental Computer Science Knowledge: Basic understanding of core computer science concepts
- Version Control and Build Systems: Familiarity with version control systems like Git and build systems
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling new challenges
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and uplift the technical capabilities of peers and junior engineers
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to work well in a team
- Continuous Learning: Deeply motivated to learn and explore new technologies, staying up-to-date with industry trends
What the job involves
- We seek a highly motivated and passionate Engineer Level 3 to join our team
- Contribute to requirements gathering: Works closely with product management and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define Technical Specifications which define technical requirements and tasks needed
- Architecture Knowledge: Develop expertise in specific areas of our software architecture
- Mentor and guide other Engineers and junior developers in tackling complex problems, improving code quality, and adopting best practices
- Contribute to Codebase: Work on well-defined tasks, adding value to our codebase with effective and efficient code
- Unit Testing: Write and execute unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the code
- Integration Testing: Write and execute integration tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the application's interaction between different components
- Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team
- Initiative and Learning: Show initiative and a strong motivation to learn and grow within the role
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the team, product management, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on status and progress
Our take
For businesses operating today, cyber insurance is as fundamental as property insurance. However, companies may not be as educated in digital risk-assessment and can end up paying large insurance costs as a result. Resilience integrates risk engineering with their cyber-insurance offerings, allowing middle-market companies to build cyber resilience and access lower cost insurance options.
Traditionally, insurers assess the information security of a company and then write up their coverage, but Resilience instead works proactively to help mitigate problems where it finds them, before the policy is agreed. By doing so, it aligns itself with the interests of the businesses it serves and can form stronger insurer-customer relationships – which are maintained because Resilience offers access to security services for the whole length of the policy.
Resilience has seen significant investment through the years, including from notable investors in the insurance space, demonstrating that their approach is held in high regard. With this, it has invested in accelerating global expansion and scaling the adoption of the "Resilience Solution", its holistic cyber risk platform.
