Who you are

5+ years of software development experience, with proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Golang, Kotlin, Rust, Java, C++, Python
Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design
Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure and tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and AWS services
Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code
Strong problem-solving skills and a keen ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
Experience with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, or cryptographic principles is a plus
A passion for learning and applying new technologies to solve real-world problems

What the job involves

As a Senior Software Engineer, Blockchain at Paxos, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing software solutions that support the issuance of digital assets, including stablecoins and other tokenized financial instruments
You will leverage your expertise in distributed systems and modern software development practices to ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of our platform
Design, develop, and maintain mission-critical issuance systems that support tokenized assets across multiple blockchains
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, compliance, and infrastructure to define system architecture and technical requirements
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our issuance services through best practices in software design, testing, and deployment
Optimize existing issuance infrastructure to enhance performance, reduce latency, and improve operational efficiency
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Stay informed about emerging trends in blockchain, distributed systems, and financial technology to drive innovation within the team
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical decision-making processes
