You are currently enrolled in post-secondary (Business - HR, Marketing, or related)
Passionate about (enterprise) technology
Experience using the different Google Forums, such as Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Sheets
Strong research skills

Excellent communication skills
Willing to do an 8 month co-op is a must

What the job involves

Help with recruitment initiatives and understanding hiring manager needs, objectives and goals through candidate screening and phone interviews
Coordinate interviews for hiring managers, gathering interview feedback from both the candidate and the hiring manager
Assist with the day to day operations of our internal human resources department
Help with documentation around corporate grants, rewards, and applications
Create and modify job descriptions
Draft, review and coordinate employment contracts
Support strategic HR initiatives with the HR team
Drive employee engagement and HR marketing
Support the operational functionality of FISPAN’s HR processes and policies
Be a key stakeholder and team member that plays a critical role in FISPAN culture
We are a startup, there are going to be a million other things that need to get done

Our take

Small/medium sized businesses (SMBs) have come under heightened operational pressure over recent years. It’s no help that this group has historically been radically underserved by legacy banks, but now the tide is turning: many banking institutions are doubling down on improving the quality and efficiency of their commercial banking solutions, and software company FISPAN is helping them get there.

FISPAN helps companies embed their commercial banking services into the existing ERP or accounting software their customers use to run their business. It’s a great way for banks to outsource the level of innovation required to keep up with commercial client demand - and, therefore, a great way of competing with the more agile neobanks, who are siphoning off legacy banking clients in substantial numbers.

FISPAN’s astute positioning has made its platform increasingly attractive for banks under pressure to keep up with the break-neck pace of change in fintech. It’s taking advantage of it too, with plans to expand to the lucrative European and Asian Pacific banking markets.
