Who you are
- 5+ years in B2B sales, ideally with high-quality hardware or technical products
- A proven track record closing complex deals and managing multilocation accounts
- Experience coordinating or leading a national sales team
- Sharp communicator and confident negotiator - comfortable with senior stakeholders
- Customer-first mindset with a professional, credible presence in the field
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Business or engineering background - degree or equivalent experience
What the job involves
- At Instagrid, you are part of the clean-tech revolution by bringing pure energy into your region, helping professional workers transitioning away from combustion generators and making it possible for them to experience a safe, efficient, clean and silent energy solution
- As a Key Account Manager for the Netherlands, you will drive Instagrid's growth in your region by winning new customers and expanding existing accounts. You will own the full sales cycle, build lasting relationships with key stakeholders, and act as the face of Instagrid in your market — bringing clean energy to professionals who need it most
- Own the full sales cycle from first contact to close - you drive revenue and set the pace
- Build and grow a complex, multilocation key account portfolio, identifying and reaching the right decision-makers independently
- Shape how Instagrid goes to market in the Netherlands - your insights directly influence strategy, product, and marketing
- Develop a strong, sustainable pipeline by becoming a trusted long-term partner to your accounts
- Engage key opinion leaders and industry influencers to put Instagrid on the map where it matters
- Feed real market intelligence back into the business - on customers, competition, trends, and product gaps
Our take
Combustion engines and generators are still the most common way of sourcing off-grid electricity, for example on construction sites or at events. They are, however, highly polluting - and logistically difficult to manage. Instragrid is hoping to change that, with its award-winning portable 230V batteries.
The idea is to provide an energy supply that is more portable than generators for the purposes of independent and mobile users, but also one that is free of noise and direct emissions. It’s not a new idea, though. Big-name electrical manufacturers like Bosch and Hyundai have had similar products on the market for a long time - and Instragrid does not, currently, seem able to compete on cost.
The key differentiation is that Instragrid offer the option of charging your battery with renewable power. This may prove the crucial edge in the competition. Certainly it will have helped Instragrid secure the substantial funding its won over recent years, thanks to the booming interest in sustainable tech. Most crucially for Instragrid, there’s increasing pressure to switch to renewables across all industries, especially in Europe and the US - and these markets are where Instragrid is planning to take its next steps.
