Role
Who you are
- A Group Creative Director is the arbiters of the best creative work and will push their creative teams and cross disciplinary counterparts to do the most outstanding work to put out in the world
- They are our leaders who represent Accenture Song's culture and standards to all within the creative department, company-wide and across the industry
- At least 5 years of experience in advertising or related fields
- At least 2 years of experience leading luxury pieces of business
- Experience working on a global piece of business, across multiple geographies
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience
Desirable
- Winner of various awards and accolades for accomplished work
- Served as a juror in at least one distinguished award show
- Prior experience of managing career growth and development of creatives - Creative Director-level to associate creative level
- Understands and adheres to business and operational practices, both internal and client-lead
What the job involves
- An art director /designer by trade with a background working on luxury brands, and the ability to lead copy team on luxury tone of voice and writing style. Attention to detail is critical
- Ability to work at pace and versatility to work across multiple integrated channels
- Have a grasp of the client business at the highest level, and ability to partner with and guide them on execution of global creative and strategic direction, in a local (North American) context
- Have a strong relationship with CCO and global creative teams based in the UK
- Develop and mentor the local creative team
Our take
Previously working as the tech consultancy wing of Arthur Andersen accounting firm, Accenture, now a professional services company, was part of the 1950s team responsible for the first-ever computer installation in Louisville Kentucky. After its split from Andersen in 2001, Accenture took its new moniker, blending the phrase “accent of the future” as a statement of intent.
Accenture has certainly lived up to its name in the last 20+ years, acquiring and developing a large portfolio of cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and technology companies, leading to its value of $177 billion and placement on the Fortune Global 500 company list. In late 2022, Accenture further invested in the frontiers of digital by acquiring BehaVR, a mental health treatment system that utilises virtual reality. It also has an eye on the climate crisis, investing in KETOS, a data intelligence company that helps monitor and address water efficiency and quality.
Through its investments, Accenture has retained a relevance and an importance as a major global player. In January 2023, Accenture partnered with Microsoft and the World Economic Forum to deliver a presentation about investments in the metaverse and its growing importance in business and culture. Accenture’s new metaverse platform, CEO Julie Sweet claims, will help social workers, case workers, firefighters, and the general public train for challenging situations.
