Who you are
- 12+ years of experience in demand generation, digital marketing, performance media, or growth marketing in a global capacity
- Proven success in driving lead generation and capture for both B2B and B2C audiences, ideally within commercial real estate or professional services
- Strong Account Based Marketing expertise, targeting enterprise organizations with tailored marketing approaches
- Extensive knowledge of digital marketing technology and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn, Search and CRM systems)
- Experience building and managing global marketing budgets with a demonstrated ability to deliver measurable ROI
- Deep understanding of global SEO, GEO and SEM best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Strong cross-regional leadership skills with experience managing geographically distributed teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

- WeWork is seeking a seasoned and strategic marketing leader to serve as the Senior Director of Global Growth, overseeing Demand Generation and Performance Marketing on a global scale
- Reporting directly to the Global Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, this role will drive WeWork’s performance marketing efforts across media, digital marketing, web, and SEO
- The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead complex, global marketing initiatives within a matrix organization and a proven track record of delivering measurable results across both B2B and B2C audiences in various regions
- They will need to strategize and execute multi-channel media campaigns, optimizing to deliver a high ROI and downstream funnel impact
- This position requires expertise in demand generation and performance marketing for a global organization, with a focus on driving, measuring and optimizing impactful campaigns and lead generation efforts targeting SMBs, real estate brokers, and enterprise clients
- Prior experience working in the commercial real estate sector or a similar field is highly desirable
- The role demands exceptional cross-regional and -functional collaboration skills, cultural fluency, and the ability to manage and execute strategies that address both global opportunities and local market nuances

- Global Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a global demand generation and performance marketing strategy aligned with WeWork’s business priorities
- Monitor and report on global marketing performance and ensure campaigns are optimized for impact across multiple regions
- Adapt strategies to address the unique dynamics and challenges of international markets
- Demand Generation Across Regions:
- Build and optimize demand generation funnels to increase lead volume and customer conversion across B2B and B2C segments, including SMBs, brokers, and enterprise clients
- Partner with sales, product, and creative teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals
- Create scalable marketing funnels tailored to regional and local needs while maintaining global consistency
- Media & Advertising:
- Direct the global media strategy, optimizing campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels for various markets
- Leverage testing and data insights to refine messaging and enhance performance in key regions
- Manage marketing budgets and allocate spend across channels for maximum ROI
- Own digital marketing performance metrics including CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, LTV, retention, and pipeline contribution
- Web & SEO/GEO:
- Oversee and manage the global web presence and experience to ensure it operates as a high-performing, regionally relevant lead-generation platform
- Develop and execute SEO & GEO strategies to improve visibility and organic traffic across markets and search platforms
- Data-Driven Insights:
- Analyze and report on global campaign performance to identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Lead deep analysis of business performance to inform marketing strategy
- Build self-service reporting tools to deliver performance insights to marketers
- Drive refinement of global attribution models and forecasting
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, build and mentor a geographically distributed high-performing marketing team of 10+ people, as well as external agency partner relationships, across demand generation, digital marketing, and SEO/GEO
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence globally
Our take
WeWork is a commercial real estate company that pioneered the shared workspace market, providing spaces for anyone from freelancers to Fortune 500s. Traditional leases typically require businesses to commit to an office for 5-10 years, whilst WeWork allows its members to scale up from a single hot desk to a private office or custom-built suite, depending on their needs.
WeWork has hundreds of locations across the globe, with hundreds of thousands of members. While its initial rapid growth and dominance in key global hubs was impressive, it has since had to scale back and strategically re-align itself in an unstable economic climate.
There is certainly still potential for WeWork to see renewed growth and success, especially as remote and hybrid working continues to be popular. That said, observers will have to wait to see the eventual affect of its restructuring - and only time will tell what the company's future looks like.
