Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of experience as data engineer, if less: experience with building up data warehouses/data products from ground up
- Strong expertise with data modeling and implementing data ingestion, transformation pipelines
- Proficiency in Python, SQL (Databricks experience would be nice-to-have)
- Strong focus on data quality and governance with experience in leading medium-sized technical projects (3-6 months roadmap)
- Strong spoken and written communication skills in English
What the job involves
- As a Senior Data Engineer (f/m/d)*, you will build data pipelines and models that power customer-facing data products
- As one of the founding members of the data team, your work will have a pivotal impact in shaping data driven culture in the organization
- You will collaborate with Data Platform, Analytics and Product teams to work effectively with data by building Parloa’s data warehouse from scratch
- The data models and data pipelines you build will help to transform the entire customer service industry leveraging data and AI
- Design and implement the data ingestion & transformation pipelines that power our customer-facing reporting and insights product together with your cross-functional team
- Take ownership of designing, building and improving the data capabilities at Parloa, including data processing, data storage and data models
- Build and optimize data models for performance, cost and usability
- Lead and execute technical projects end-to-end: understanding user requirements, systems and model design, proof of concept, implementation & scaling, maintenance and support, continuous improvement
- Work directly with data platform engineers, backend engineers, ML engineers and analytics engineers to provide data driven capabilities for Parloa customers and internal teams
