Role
Who you are
- Experience in a business development/sales-related role preferred
- Proactive prospecting outreach is preferred, if not, the ability to show how you are working on developing this skill currently
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- CRM experience, especially Salesforce, is a plus
- Empathy, active listening skills, and a unique ability to uncover customer needs
- A great attitude, competitive spirit, and love for teamwork
- A “roll-up the sleeves” mentality
- Strong bias to action, adaptability (fast-paced environment)
What the job involves
- As an Inbound SDR, your role is to generate new business pipeline through inbound opportunities by helping prospects understand the value of Front
- You will leverage excellent communication skills, deep product knowledge, and business acumen to build relationships with leads
- You will partner closely with the sales team to identify opportunities that otherwise would be left undiscovered
- Deliver a best-in-class customer experience for prospects and customers of Front
- Quickly identify, qualify, and follow up on inbound leads (demo requests, trial leads, content downloads) via phone, email, and InMail
- Become a product expert on Front and its value prop. Hold yourself accountable to become a Front power user and technical expert
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of our product and its value proposition to customers
- Document all interactions and findings with leads in our CRM, and create a seamless handoff process to Account Executives
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to iterate on strategy, optimize deal flow, and improve lead quality
- Provide additional sales team support on an ad hoc/as-needed basis
- Proactively look for new opportunities within a targetted book of business through means of cold calling, email, and InMail
Our take
When a business receives an email from a customer it can set off a chain of forwarded emails across the company, an inefficient process where information (and sales!) can easily get lost. Front exists to change this, consolidating all customer communications into a single shared inbox which can be accessed by teams of any size and completely eliminates the need for internal emails.
With more companies moving to remote working and eCommerce becoming the predominant form of conducting business, Front's product has been enthusiastically received by over 8,000 companies, including Mailchimp, Shopitfy and Convoy. However it is by no means alone in this space, with huge competitors such as Google and Microsoft providing communications solutions and other internal communications tools such as Slack gaining traction. Front may have an edge here though: its unified solution also provides automated workflows, ticketing and analytical tools that are either absent or less well integrated in competing offerings.
In 2022, Front raised investments in a Series D round and achieved unicorn status with a valuation of over $1 billion. It is moving to futher develop its product and increase its market share, hiring on new talent ahead of a possible IPO in the near future. Definitely watch this space!
