What the job involves
- We are hiring a Founders Associate to focus on the most pressing challenges in the business. We are a fast growing startup so the role will be extremely varied
- This role will report into the Chief of Staff and work directly with the founders and leadership team
- Business Process Improvement: Evaluate current operations across the business to identify areas to improve efficiency. Design, test, and implement the solutions to help us scale. This can include anything in the business: our sales and marketing journey, our lending processes, our installation and procurement procedures
- Data Analysis: Run comprehensive analysis across our marketing journey, sales funnel, operations metrics, lending and finance processes and everything in between. Deeply understand the business logic behind the metrics
- Strategic Project Management: Drive key strategic initiatives across multiple teams. Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. Projects can include pitching for partnerships, evaluating and implementing new software tooling, fundraising and investor relations, preparing Board materials, and setting and measuring KPIs
- Data Infrastructure and Automation: Work with business units to define metrics and business logic, design, build, and QA key dashboards, and create workflow automations
- Organisational Communication: Serve as the communication nexus between the different business units, facilitating clear and immediate communication between leadership and various teams. Understand and represent the Founders’ perspectives in internal discussions

Sunsave, founded in 2022, is on a mission to make the power of solar accessible to every household in the UK. They're the first (and as of 2025 the only) company in the UK to offer an FCA-authorised solar subscription service - a model that's been very successful in places like Germany and the US.
70% of people in the UK are interested in solar, and Sunsave's model removes the biggest barrier to adoption - the ~£10k typical upfront cost and long payback period - so customers can save on their energy bills from day one. They offer an all-in-one subscription that includes finance, installation, monitoring and maintenance, really helping customers get the most out of their systems
Already, the company has attracted the attention of blue-chip VC funds such as Norrsken, IPGL, the UK Department of Energy, and household name entrepreneurs, including Michael Spencer and Stuart Rose. Alongside this, they raised a £13M Series A in July 2025, alongside a £100M debt facility to scale their subscription model.
They plan to also expand into complementary products like EV chargers and heat pumps, alongside tariff optimisation and energy insight software. The eventual aim is to build the company's first decentralised home energy platform and revolutionise households' relationship with energy.
