Who you are
- The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who is passionate about crafting on-brand copy that makes customers feel understood—and drives action
- You must be efficient and able create and edit high-impact copy with minimal oversight
- Experience using ChatGPT (or similar AI tools) to ideate, refine, and scale content is essential
- Impeccable copy craft, with an emphasis on performance-based marketing copy (ads, emails, push, SMS, packaging)
- Experience creating, training, or fine-tuning custom GPTs to reflect brand voice, product knowledge, and marketing strategies
- A link to an online portfolio showcasing your work is required (include link on your resume)
- 5+ years experience as an agency or in-house copywriter for innovative consumer brands
- Professional and personal knowledge of the early childhood space, as well as an extensive understanding of industry trends and the key players in the competitive landscape
- Ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines without much oversight
- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- Appreciation for aesthetics, design, and their important role in maximizing the impact of your copy
- Detail-oriented and obsessive about writing quality and impact
What the job involves
- Drive the voice of our brand and support the Global Brand Marketing & Partnerships team to grow the beloved Lovevery brand
- We are looking for a Lead Marketing Copywriter with extensive experience writing performance-based, D2C copy for social ads, TV ads, YouTube ads, marketing emails, push and SMS, print, packaging, and website
- You will report directly to the Director of Brand Marketing, and work cross-functionally with Product, Growth, and Marketing teams
- Produce and/or edit all marketing and brand copy
- Create and train custom GPTs tailored to Lovevery’s brand voice, product knowledge, and marketing needs to scale high-quality copywriting across channels
- Develop best practices and training to help teams use ChatGPT effectively while maintaining brand voice
- Ensure AI-assisted outputs meet Lovevery’s standards
- Execute on a high volume of short form copy while maintaining brand alignment and high standards for craft
- Partner with our Creative team to create high-performing ads for social, TV, and YouTube
- Partner with our Lifecycle team to create compelling and actionable email marketing campaigns that drive conversion and retention
- Write (or edit) effective push and SMS copy, print, packaging, and brand copy
- Ensure cohesive copy across channels
- Immerse yourself in child development science and Lovevery products and content to ensure you are communicating with credibility and brand alignment
Our take
A child’s first toy - whether that’s building blocks or a Ken doll - will serve their first foray into learning. Lovevery recognizes the relationship between toys and child development, offering Montessori-inspired, naturally made play kits. Subscribers to Lovevery receive a box every few months containing age-appropriate toys that change and grow in tandem with the child.
Whilst the products are aesthetically pleasing and well built, they are uniquely inclusive, being both gender neutral and customizable, such as a doll’s skin tone. Along with information on its accompanying app, each kit comes with “play cards” that provides context around the toy and its educational purpose, creating an informative and empowering space for parents when approaching play.
Lovevery continues to evolve, starting as a play kit provider and now with an app with hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Its partnerships with Target and an expansion into the European market indicate impressive growth. And with new launches including a resale marketplace, the company is well set for even more growth.
