Who you are
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university, Master's degree is a plus
- 2-3 years of professional experience in a high-performing, fast-paced environment like tech or consulting, exposure to the chemicals / materials / manufacturing industry is a strong plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
- Full proficiency in Excel / Powerpoint
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Passionate about Cambrium's mission, and driven to bring new innovative molecules to market
What the job involves
- As a Business Development Associate on our Polymers team, you'll be at the forefront of driving our commercial growth in the polymers market
- Working directly with our Head of Polymers, you'll identify partnership opportunities, build relationships with potential customers, and shape our go-to-market strategy
- This hands-on role combines strategic thinking with execution, requiring you to move fast and adapt quickly as we establish our position in the market
- Drive identification and qualification of potential partnership opportunities for our bio-based polymers technology through market research, competitor analysis, and direct outreach
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities, tracking and analyzing key metrics; develop and maintain our CRM database for accurate opportunity tracking
- Create compelling business cases for partnership discussions
- Manage and nurture relationships with potential partners throughout the evaluation process
- Develop our go-to-market strategy based on market insights and customer feedback

Animal-derived collagen has long been a staple in personal care, fashion, and other applications, but it comes with environmental and ethical concerns. Cambrium is stepping in with a sustainable alternative, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to design, scale, and manufacture novel molecular building blocks for man-made collagen.
Having recently securing funding, Cambrium aims to transition the early successes of its skin-identical collagen ingredient NovaColl into a lasting impact, by scaling its manufacturing and commercial activities for animal-free collagen products.
Its technology not only presents a viable solution to reduce reliance on animal-derived collagen, but accelerates the development of other innovative biomolecules, suggesting a future where Cambrian could create high-performance, sustainable materials for various other sectors.
