QA Manager, Sonatus

• The perfect candidate is expected to be very hands-on but also able to lead a strong QA team
• Bachelor’s degree (MS preferred) in Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering, or other related fields with 8+ years of working experience as an individual contributor in areas such as software related to data center, networking, security, cloud services or automotive industry
• Minimum 4 years of management experience, leading teams of at least 8-10 members
• Curious, open-minded, and driven to solve complex problems
• Ability to self-start and work in unstructured environments, bringing projects from inception to completion
• Excellent knowledge of test methodologies and experience with system level testing of physical devices, as well as end-to-end testing between cloud-based applications and embedded systems
• Solid track record of test automation design & development in these areas
• Well versed in software development processes of embedded products
• Proficiency with Linux command line and knowledge of shell scripting
• Good networking fundamentals, ideally paired with experience in cybersecurity
• Review and challenge product requirement specifications, design and functional specifications. Define the test strategy
• Competent with one or more of the following programming languages: Python (with Pytest), Go, Java
• Experience with implementing vehicle-side as well as front-end, back-end, end-to-end test plans and test cases
• Experience with design and implementation of test tools for test automation
• Knowledge of the concepts of relational databases and NoSQL databases
• Experience working with client-server architectures and automation
• Experience with JIRA, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

• As a part of a cross-functional team that is responsible for the full software development life cycle, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and products, from conception to deployment
• Lead the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, testing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting mission-critical systems
• Guide the team and be hands-on in developing detailed test plans and test cases per the specifications and in executing and triaging test cases
• Apply expertise in various programming languages, frameworks, and technologies to deliver high-quality and scalable software applications
• Define and implement testing strategies by working with product, development and other teams across the company
• Collaborate with stakeholders to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our test benches, test frameworks, and test cases for system as well as frontend / backend / end-to-end testing. The end goal should always be automating as many test cases as possible
• Track all necessary testing activities, including schedule, resources, and requirements, defects and resolution so that there is a clear alignment across key stakeholders
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, showcasing technical leadership
• Utilize effective verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information to diverse audiences
• Stay current with the latest test methodologies, frameworks, and programming practices
• Provide mentorship & coaching, review test plans and test procedures, enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews
