Who you are
- 8+ years in product marketing or adjacent functions
- Proven track record launching and scaling consumer-facing products, ideally in subscription or digital media
- Strong strategic thinking paired with high-velocity execution
- Deep fluency in paid marketing, collaboration, and performance storytelling
- Skilled at opportunity sizing, competitive analysis, and translating insight into influence
- Operates with extreme ownership and excels in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
- Known for influence without authority and building strong cross-functional relationships
What the job involves
- This is a unique opportunity to lead the go-to-market success of innovative new product bets at MasterClass while shaping the broader product narrative and positioning for MasterClass as a whole
- As our product surface expands, this role will bring audience clarity, messaging cohesion, and executional excellence to ensure our offerings resonate deeply and scale effectively
- You'll be at the center of product marketing strategy, working cross-functionally to influence roadmaps, drive growth, and amplify impact
- Own the go-to-market strategy and post-launch growth of MasterClass Certificates & MasterClass’s new advanced education product
- Define audience segments and use cases across MasterClass Certificates and adjacent offerings
- Drive portfolio-level positioning and messaging coherence across the product suite
- Partner with Paid Marketing to refine audience targeting, messaging, and creative strategy
- Synthesize customer feedback, performance data, and competitive intel to shape GTM playbooks and product decisions
- Influence roadmap direction and priorities through insight-backed recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Brand, and Creative teams to launch and scale with impact
Our take
MasterClass is a streaming platform that offers its members the chance to learn skills and theory directly from the best in the business, all with celebrity status. For example, learning to cook with Gordon Ramsay, mastering tennis techniques with Serena Williams, and perfecting songwriting with Alicia Keys.
The streaming platform provides more than 100 classes across nine categories including sport, wellness, music, food, and business. Each class is made up of around 20 short video lessons, accompanied by a workbook and a members’ community.
With a $2.5 billion valuation and no shortage of funding, MasterClass is seen as a leader in the edtech market and differentiates itself from fierce competitors Udacity and Udemy by blurring the line between education and entertainment.
