What the job involves

We're seeking a Sr. Backend Engineer to continue supporting our Ruby on Rails API, infrastructure, Lambdas, and more
This role is ideal for someone who wants to have a tremendous impact on the technical direction of the company, without the risk of joining an early stage startup that isn't profitable
We’re looking for someone who can contribute to the entire backend development process, beginning with collaborating with Design and Product through planning and working with other engineers/teams, execution, and release
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to develop and implement new features
Write high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code in Ruby on Rails and other languages as required (Node.js for Lambda, etc.)
Support and maintain a comprehensive test suite to ensure the quality and stability of the application
Optimize application performance and improve the user experience
Ensure that our backend architecture enables scaling both our team and user base
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality
