What the job involves

- Are you looking to kickstart your career and gain hands-on experience as part of a global marketing team? If so, we invite you to apply for a 12-month events and marketing internship within Elliptic
- You will play a key role in the successful planning and execution of high-impact marketing initiatives, including Elliptic’s global events programme and multi-channel campaigns
- Assist the Event Marketing Manager in the planning and execution of a global calendar of in-person and virtual events, including third party conferences, customer briefings, owned events and webinars
- Coordinate event logistics such as venue research, attendee registration, arranging shipments and vendor management, providing on-site support as required
- Support in driving internal engagement with events, ensuring key stakeholders and teams are fully briefed and provided with all relevant information
- Scheduling and attending event kick off calls, regular syncs and debriefs
- Assist in the planning and execution of global and regional marketing campaigns, including the launch of Elliptic’s flagship thought leadership reports
- Partner with the Marketing Manager to populate the social media calendar, and assist in the development of high-performing content assets
- Support in the build and scheduling of emails, newsletters, blogs and landing pages within Hubspot
- Assist in the clean-up, upload and distribution of event attendee lists to enable effective and efficient lead follow-up
- Provide assistance to the wider Elliptic marketing team with day-to-day tasks

The rise of cryptocurrency has been dramatic. As more established financial institutions move into the sector, these companies need to understand when they can let transactions run — and when they should intervene.
A key issue with most cryptocurrencies is that their nature means they can be used by criminals for illicit activities, such as money laundering. Elliptic’s focus is on tackling financial compliance, and it has developed machine learning tech that screens transactions to identify suspicious patterns and dubious transactors. It offers an integrated suite of products for financial institutions to screen crypto-flows, which it analyses for links to illicit activity such as money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crimes.
Elliptic’s dataset has been developed since 2014 and includes over 20 billion data points and covers 148 assets, representing 98% of the global trading volume. Two-thirds of global crypto volumes are transacted on exchanges that use Elliptic’s products, highlighting the company's leadership position in the market.
It works with firms like Coinbase on their internal anti-money laundering compliance, and with other big-name clients such as Santander, Revolut, Genesis, and Stellar. Elliptic is currently working with several undisclosed leading research and trading desks to develop its product to maintain its strong position.
