Sales Director, EMJ - European Medical Journal

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, account management, and expansion selling

Desirable

• We’re searching for a driven Sales Director who will lead AMJ's commercial plan. This role combines operational delivery aligned with the agreed sales strategy
• This is a hands-on, emerging leadership role. You will personally manage and grow strategic accounts while also leading, coaching, and developing the wider sales team to consistently deliver against ambitious commercial targets
• You will work closely with Marketing, Editorial, and Customer Success to ensure exceptional client delivery and alignment across the full customer lifecycle

• Drive new business acquisition and expand Top 10 accounts through retention and upsell
• Deliver consultative, insight-led solutions aligned to client needs
• Represent AMJ at key Therapy Area (TA) congresses and industry events
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
• Run effective 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and deal reviews
• Provide hands-on sales support, including joint calls and closing
• Execute SLT-defined sales strategy across the U.S. business
• Contribute insight to planning cycles and own quarterly performance reviews
• Maintain strong, senior internal stakeholder relationships
• Deliver clear weekly performance reporting and forecasting
• Drive consistent CRM usage and standardised sales processes
• Identify risks early, remove blockers, and keep delivery on track
