Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Ability to speak French and English fluently
- 6+ years of marketing, brand advertising, media sales and/or online advertising experience
- Someone who’s up for the challenge of building something from the bottom up
- Passion for Snap Inc. products and marketing!
- Strong existing relationships with top marketing decision makers in the French market both on the agency side and advertiser side
- Extensive knowledge of performance marketing including industry trends, measurement and attribution approaches, and competitive product knowledge
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to build trust with C-level clients by understanding their business needs and tailoring communications
- Ability to win the support of internal stakeholders across product, marketing, and support teams, and advocate for your customers
- A proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals, and achieving success within a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- A team-first approach and commitment to developing the skills and careers of less experienced team members
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Client Partner, Business Development to join our growing Sales Team in Paris
- This is a "hunter" role at its core, designed for a sales professional who thrives on building a business from the ground up
- You will be responsible for identifying, prospecting, and converting some of the most exciting and disruptive D2C brands, emerging e-commerce players, and innovative tech companies into long-term partners
- You will act as the architect of your own success, developing and executing a go-to-market strategy to build a robust client portfolio and drive significant new revenue growth for Snap
- This role demands an entrepreneurial mindset, a proven ability to exceed sales targets, and a passion for helping the next generation of brands win
- Hunt, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across a diverse range of high-growth verticals by building and managing a strong sales pipeline
- Define and execute a strategic go-to-market plan to build your client portfolio from the ground up
- Lead the full sales cycle for new business initiatives, from initial outreach and creating powerful pitches to negotiating and closing long-term partnerships
- Advise new advertisers on full-funnel marketing strategies, demonstrating how Snapchat’s ad products can solve their core business challenges and drive measurable ROI
- Create and deliver persuasive, data-driven sales presentations that articulate the value of Snap to C-level executives and marketing leaders
- Consistently exceed ambitious sales targets by taking full ownership of your market segment with an entrepreneurial and revenue-focused approach
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients
Our take
Snap Inc. is the social-media company behind Snapchat, a mobile app launched in 2011 that prioritises visual and emotive communication over traditional texting. Born from a desire to share real-time moments with authenticity, the app now boasts a massive global reach with daily active users surpassing 460M and monthly active users well beyond 900M.
After rejecting a billion-dollar acquisition offer from MEta Platforms (then Facebook) in 2023, Snapchat entered into a long-term rivalry with Meta's apps (most notably Instagram). Despite the competition, Snap has carved out a distinct place in the social-media landscape by innovating features such as the "Discover" tab, augmented-reality (AR) lenses, in-app gaming, paid subscriptions via Snapchat+, and robust ad-monetisation options.
Snap has yet to post a full-year profit since going public in 2017, but the company is clearly making progress. In Q1 2025 the net loss was narrowed to roughly $140M, down from $305M the year before, and revenue rose 14% to $1.36B.
