Role
Who you are
- 5+ years in software QA automation, SDET, or equivalent engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- WebdriverIO for mobile & web automation
- Appium for native app testingTypeScript, Node.js, Axios, Mocha, and ChaiTest reporting via Allure or equivalent
- Experience with performance testing methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with mobile app release management processes for both iOS (App Store Connect/TestFlight) and Android (Play Console), Phased rollout strategies, Hotfix validation and regression containment
- Strong understanding of mobile release cycles, including App Store/Play Store submission, build versioning and tagging, and canary/phased rollout coordination
- Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and Git-based workflows
Desirable
- Experience with CI tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitrise, or similar
- Exposure to test case management platforms like TestRail or QASE
- Familiarity with GenAI-powered test generation (e.g., TestRigor, mabl).Interest in contributing to accessibility and localization testing standards
- Experience coordinating with freelance or offshore QA teams
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a seasoned SDET with strong experience in mobile automation (iOS and Android), performance testing, and release management to join Tinder’s QA Engineering team
- You will build scalable, reliable test automation frameworks and ensure high-quality releases that reach millions of users worldwide
- This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to make a tangible impact on Tinder’s mobile experience
- Design and maintain automation frameworks for iOS & Android apps using WebdriverIO + Appium
- Develop API and integration tests using TypeScript, Axios, Mocha, and Chai
- Implement and monitor performance test plans for mobile and backend systems
- Work closely with Release Managers to validate builds, support phased rollouts, and streamline hotfix verification
- Generate actionable insights through Allure and other reporting tools integrated with CI pipelines
- Participate in sprint rituals, advocate for testability, and contribute to product readiness assessments
- Collaborate with QA Analysts, Developers, PMs, and Designers to identify risk areas and ensure end-to-end test coverage
- Monitor post-release quality signals and support RCA for production incidents
- Coordinate cross-team testing alignment during weekly releases and urgent hotfix cycles
