- Proficiency in Kotlin, familiarity with shared codebases or libraries
- Strong expertise in mobile CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and performance monitoring
- Track record of driving infrastructure and platform improvements
- You write clean, simple, secure and maintainable code, and mentor others to do the same
What the job involves
- Our Bolt Engineering teams are building the backbone that powers Bolt’s mobile applications. We’re seeking a talented Senior Android Engineer to join forces with us and play an important role in shaping our Android platform
- As a Senior Android Engineer, you’ll set the standard for mobile developers and enhance their performance through tooling and infrastructure, enabling the entire mobile organization to move faster and build better
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining shared platform components and infrastructure
- Leading platform initiatives such as CI/CD pipeline improvements, large-scale platform migrations, and design system adoption
- Working with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver actionable platform reports to ensure adoption of platform standards and resolve long-standing technical issues
- Ensuring platform compliance with accessibility requirements and leading migration away from legacy systems
- Guiding proof-of-concept projects, evaluating alternative solutions, and addressing technical challenges
- Supporting the design system by developing new UI components and promoting consistent usage across platforms

And ride-hailing, shared vehicles and new technology like autonomous driving are all part of this shift. So, cities are pushing for safer and more efficient transport, which is encouraging mobility companies to invest in electric vehicles and even driverless solutions which could eventually reshape urban travel.
Bolt has positioned themselves right in the center of this change, with is leading mobility platform that offers ride-hailing services across more than 50 countries. Through its app, Bolt connects users with transport options designed to be affordable and simple.
Recently, the company partnered with Stellantis to explore Level 4 autonomous, driverless vehicles, showing just how far ahead Bolt is looking for its next phase of mobility.
That said, Bolt operates in a very crowded market and urban mobility is highly competitive, with many local and international players all trying to come out on top. Even so, demand for shared and on-demand transport is at an all time high and only growing. Bolt's broad geographic reach, focus on scale and willingness to invest in future technologies puts it in the perfect position to keep growing.
