Role
Who you are
- 8+ years of product management experience
- Experience with 0-1 products
- 1+ year experience delivering ML products
- Experience in data analytics and working with analytics teams and data
- Strong Technical Acumen - engineering experience preferred

What the job involves
- As a Product Lead, Platform + Data; you will increase the impact of our Practice product by identifying the top user problems to solve and the best ways to solve them
- You focus on outcome over output and orient product development accordingly
- You relish the opportunity to spend your day listening to customer feedback, working side-by-side with a cross functional team to define how the best ideas from your team or elsewhere come to life
- Build a scalable data platform to support Overjet’s exponential growth
- Work with team to create clean data and integration points from imaging and practice management systems
- Inspire and support your product team to build products that delight users and produce tangible business value
- Understand user pain points and describe the problems to solve to your engineering team, in the context of your product strategy
- Collaborating and planning with stakeholders across the business on all aspects needed to bring solutions to market
- Leading business and technical validation sessions with internal stakeholders and customers
- Setting adoption and engagement targets for products and articulating metrics against which success can be objectively measured
- Maintain an outcome oriented roadmap that is updated at a regular cadence so we know what bets we’re making now-next-later
- Communicate the impact of your product to clients and prospects directly and indirectly by enabling sales
Our take
Overjet is a medical AI company that uses machine learning to analyze dental radiographs and uncover potential causes for concern in patients' oral health. Using data that quantify bone loss, tooth decay, and gum disease symptoms, the visually driven results help dentists and patients visualize their oral health status.
Whilst helping patients with their oral health is a lucrative business, dental insurance is in a whole different realm. In 2021, the dental insurance industry crossed the $80 billion threshold, and dental AI companies like Overjet have a large stake in this surge. Their AI tool, built and developed by Harvard dentistry graduates in 2018, is utilized by leading dental insurance companies in the US to help better value the type of insurance that their customers are eligible for.
This goes some way to explain how Overjet received Series A and B funding within just 4 months of each other in 2021. The dental industry may have been slow to embrace AI technology for practical healthcare purposes before Overjet and similar companies like Adra emerged, but the same products were quickly capitalized on by health insurance providers in the US. This double incentive for investors is a promising step forward for Overjet, which continues to forge partnerships with city and state-leading dental organizations and achieved impressive Series C funding in 2024.
