Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, data science, data modeling, or a related quantitative field
- Deep proficiency in dbt and modern analytics engineering practices
- Strong understanding of scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data environments like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake
- Advanced SQL skills and working knowledge of Python or R for analysis and automation
- Proven ability to work independently, lead ambiguous problem-solving efforts, and translate data into business impact
- Expertise in data visualization (ideally Tableau), with the ability to create intuitive, performant dashboards
- Experience mentoring or leading a team—ideally in a player-coach capacity
- Self-starter: You thrive in ambiguous environments and can define your own roadmap
- Deep problem solver: You push beyond surface-level symptoms to uncover root causes
- Clear communicator: You make complex analyses understandable to stakeholders of all backgrounds
- Strategic executor: You’re comfortable zooming out to align on business priorities and zooming in to write code or debug a data pipeline
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a curious and driven player-coach to lead our Advanced Analytics team
- In this role, you’ll make a meaningful impact by elevating the quality and scalability of analytics across Veriff
- You’ll lead a team of analytics engineers, data scientists, and data professionals responsible for building the foundation of our analytics ecosystem: from raw data to analyst-ready models and, increasingly, production-grade machine learning systems

- We’re looking for an experienced leader to head our Advanced Analytics team
- This group sets the standard for how analytics is done across Veriff: building core data models, defining tooling and documentation best practices, and ensuring we produce high-quality, reusable data assets that power business decisions
- Leading a growing team of analytics engineers and data scientists within the Operations & Analytics org
- Setting and enforcing high standards for data modeling, analytics engineering, and documentation
- Designing and owning core, reusable data models that enable scalable reporting and insights across product, operations, and business teams
- Defining best practices for using dbt, modular SQL, and data governance to ensure clarity and maintainability
- Building the foundation for production-grade ML models to improve decision-making and operational efficiency
- Collaborating closely with business and operational stakeholders to translate their needs into robust data solutions
- Driving an impact-focused culture that prioritizes complete, accurate, and timely data assets
- Mentoring team members and building a culture of excellence, autonomy, and accountability
- Working closely with the Data Engineering team to ensure we are executing on an impactful roadmap oriented to our end-stakeholders’ needs
Our take
Veriff started when the founder tried to access one of the worlds largest online marketplaces underage. He realised that, with some slight photo editing, he could easily break through their verification process. The company believes that identity is a valuable asset, and delivers real safety, protection and transparency to interactions online.
Veriff combines technical advancements in facial recognition, social ID, device ID and more into a SaaS model, that is easy to use and accessible to companies of all sizes. The service includes features such as real-time identity document verification, automated "Proof of Address" processes, and automated SSN Verification.
Veriff has continued to add to its offerings with new technologies and improvements. The considerable funds raised by the company in 2022 fuelled continued research and development, as well as enabling it to hire more talent into its team. Partnerships with the likes of SonoSuite, a digital tech provider for the music industry, indicate Veriff's continued expansion of its products into new markets.
