Who you are
- 10+ years in consumer marketing, with real experience in fintech or consumer finance. Bonus if you've marketed to Gen Z
- You've managed a significant marketing budget and can talk specifics about what you learned and what actually worked
- You've done brand building and understand that trust is the product
- You've built and led small, high-output teams. You know how to hire and you know how to ship
- You have a track record of high agency. Not "leadership experience" but actual evidence that you see problems and fix them without being asked
- You can write. Crisp, clear, no corporate fluff
What the job involves
- Phantom started as the most-loved crypto wallet
- Now we're building a consumer finance platform that competes with Robinhood and Cash App
- The infrastructure is crypto-native, but users don't need to know or care about that
- Your job is to make one hundred million people trust us with their money
- That's hard
- People are skeptical of new financial products, and they should be
- You need to build a brand that earns credibility, acquire users profitably at scale, and position Phantom as the obvious choice for people who want modern finance without the friction or the fees
- You'll own brand, product marketing, content, and comms
- You'll have budget and autonomy
- There's no playbook for this because no one has done exactly this before
- Define and execute the marketing strategy for Phantom's evolution from wallet to global consumer finance platform
- Build the brand narrative: why Phantom, why now, why trust us
- Partner with product on launches, positioning, and gtm for new financial products
- Scale brand marketing while maintaining efficiency

Cryptocurrency wallets provide a way to protect secret information that gives users control over your digital assets. Many crypto enthusiasts prefer the wallet option as non-custodial wallets remove the third-party option and users gain full control over their data. Phantom is a cryptocurrency wallet that creates a space for users to buy, send, receive, swap tokens and collect NFTs.
Phantom hosts the Solana blockchain, though Ethereum is generally more popular within the crypto world, Solana is said to have faster speeds and lower transaction costs. Offering the same wallet features as its competitors, the company is setting itself apart with newer features like the “Burn NFTs” feature allowing users to remove spam NFTs sent by attackers and support them in dodging NFT theft prevalent in the sector. The company prides itself on extremely high-security factors.
Founded in 2021, the company has an impressive firm valuation of $3B and has earned its place as a top-rated crypto wallet.
