Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and shell scripting
- Strong proficiency in Python development
- Proficient in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt)
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with C++ is a plus
- Experience with workload manager software (Nomad, Slurm, etc.) is a plus
- Experience with cloud technology is a plus (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with OpenStack is a plus
- Fluent in English
What the job involves
- We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps (f/m/d) that can support our development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Linux-based development and test infrastructure
- This infrastructure consists of a Linux cluster running thousands of tests every hour supporting our development teams. You will work closely with development and IT teams to understand requirements and develop efficient solutions
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to design, implement, and maintain a scalable, secure, and high-availability Linux-based infrastructure
- Work with the development teams to maintain and improve the test orchestration and scheduling tool chain
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth operations
- Handle system updates, upgrades, and patch management to keep the environment secure and up to date
- Set up monitoring tools to track system performance, application metrics, and infrastructure health
- Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Salt) to automate server provisioning and software installations
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
