Role
Who you are
- Minimum experience of 2 years using Azure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Skilled in managing conflicting priorities
- Familiarity with ITIL and service desk tooling
- Experience with Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux (CentOS, AlmaLinux)
- Experience with automation tooling such as Terraform and Azure DevOps
- Version control experience with Git
What the job involves
- As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you’ll be part of the team responsible for deploying and maintaining the underlying infrastructure that supports our SaaS offering. You’ll work with experienced engineers to ensure our platforms are secure, performant, and stable
- Hands-on technical involvement in operational and development tasks
- Establish strong working relationships with different business units, external cloud providers, and colleagues within the Infrastructure & Support function
- Utilise key tools such as HaloITSM, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Git on a daily basis
- Allocate time between operational support for existing customers and development work to enhance automation and tooling for deploying and maintaining customer platforms
- Travel regularly to either our Glasgow Office - G1 1RE, or our Edinburgh Office, EH12 5HD

- Cloud Hosting Providers: Azure, Private Cloud
- Ticket Management: ITIL, Service Desk Tooling
- System Administration: Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server 201x, Linux – CentOS, AlmaLinux
- Automation Tooling: Terraform, Azure DevOps
- Version Control: Git
- Database Administration: MS-SQL – particularly Azure SQL Database
- System Administration: Linux – CentOS, AlmaLinux
- Scripting: PowerShell/Bash
