Application Support Engineer, Honeycomb

• 2+ years experience as a Support Engineer
• Basic knowledge of NoSQL, such as MongoDB
• Experience using log management tools for troubleshooting like Datadog or Grafana
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to details
• Display a customer-centric mindset, focusing primarily on internal customers
• Demonstrate clear and effective communication skills when interacting with internal stakeholders, always prioritizing their satisfaction and striving to exceed their expectations
• Ambitious, driven, self-starters with ability to thrive and adapt in a constantly changing environment
• The role is based in Chicago, IL, with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office)

Desirable

• Our Customer Support Engineers serve as the first point of contact in the company by supporting internal teams and external customers on live issues
• Work towards resolving and driving production bugs to resolution
• Own and drive the process by identifying the affected area, apply intermediate resolution where relevant, assign to the proper stakeholder in engineering and follow up on the resolution
• Act as Subject Matter Expert in select technological areas, including building workarounds and best practices in production
• Fully and accurately document troubleshooting and problem-resolution steps
