Role
Who you are
- Full-Stack Technical Leadership: 8+ years of engineering experience, with deep technical credibility in at least one domain (backend or frontend) and strong working knowledge of the other. You set the bar on engineering quality and guide your team in delivering scalable, well-architected systems
- Systems Thinking & Architecture Ownership: You lead the design and evolution of systems that support the long-term success of your squad and neighbouring teams. You facilitate architectural decision-making, promote reusability, and balance delivery urgency with strategic technical debt management
- Customer & Product Stewardship: You connect your team’s work directly to customer value. You help shape product direction in partnership with PMs, challenge assumptions, and frame trade-offs through the lens of user outcomes, feasibility, and effort
- Delivery Ownership & Team Enablement: You are accountable for your squad’s velocity, focus, and outcomes. You remove blockers, coach team members, and create an environment where engineers are empowered to do their best work. You adapt quickly to change and model pragmatic decision-making
- Cross-Functional Communication & Alignment: You keep stakeholders informed and expectations managed. You drive alignment with PM, Design, and leadership, and foster clear, structured thinking within the team. You communicate proactively and asynchronously across time zones
- Culture, Coaching & Growth: You shape the culture of your team through feedback, care, and clarity. You support individual growth plans, run effective 1:1s, give feedback regularly, and help your team get better every quarter. You model Nory’s values and help others do the same
What the job involves
- We’re now looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our Inventory Management team. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our inventory platform by architecting scalable solutions, mentoring peers, and directly boosting our customers’ efficiency and sustainability
- As an Engineering Team Lead in our Insights Product team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform
- Drive the development of intelligent features that power scheduling and operational planning, including innovative use of AI to enhance automation, adaptability, and decision-making at scale
- Own the technical direction and delivery of our revamped Insights suite, enabling operators to make smarter decisions on pricing, waste reduction, and customer experience
- Champion forecasting excellence, continuously improving the accuracy and user experience of our predictive tools to build operator confidence and transparency
- Lead the design and roll-out of embedded AI capabilities across our platform, from contextual insights to agent-based analytics that empower users to explore and understand their business data with ease
- Oversee the expansion of our customer feedback tools, guiding the development of new functionality that increases value for operators and creates monetisation opportunities for Nory
- Ensure robust integrations with key industry platforms, making it easier for restaurants to adopt and benefit from Nory with minimal disruption
- Lead a high-performing squad, fostering collaboration, autonomy, and technical excellence while driving delivery against clear objectives

Our take
Nory’s AI and automation software allows restaurants to more easily take control of common pain points like inventory, staffing, and marketing, all on one platform. With thin margins, stretched teams and high levels of waste, Nory was founded by a seasoned restaurant founder and scaler, who knows all too well how juggling "market-leading" systems can become a headache for restaurant managers. Indeed, he even built an early version of Nory for his own restaurant.
What makes Nory a particularly interesting prospect is the value that it can offer multi-site restaurants or chains, given its ability to collect data on each location at once. It melds real-time data with AI predictive analytics so that operators can regain control of their profit. It’s this certainty of purpose and value that’s helped Nory get off to a flying start, securing a rapidly growing customer base including Stonegate Pubs, Dr Juice and Viva Italia.
Having raised a significant amount of capital, most recently in a May 2025 Series B round, Nory has grown its team and expanded from Ireland and the UK into Spain as well. It's using its funding to expand into the US, hire data scientists and accelerate its product development. As the hospitality industry struggles with high costs and low margins, Nory's solution will be increasingly essential for restaurants seeking to optimise their operations and turn a profit.
