Who you are
- We’re seeking a motivated and curious Summer Analytics & Business Operations Intern to join our small but mighty Analytics team
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Public Health, or a related field
- Interest in healthcare access and digital health
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with data
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel; experience with BI tools like Mode, Looker, or Tableau
- Python/R experience preferred
- Comfortable presenting to and working collaboratively with leadership.A scrappy, startup-ready attitude and collaborative spirit

What the job involves
- Duration: 15-20 hours/week, 10 to 12 Weeks (Summer 2025)
- Reports To: Manager, Analytics
- You’ll dive into real-world problems across revenue analysis, operational optimization, patient experience, and partner growth
- This is a highly-leveraged role with cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Operations, Patient Experience, Business Development, and Human Resources, with regular interactions with the Executive Team (including our CEO)
- This is a hands-on, high-impact internship where you’ll get to work on business-critical projects and help improve how we deliver care across the country
- Enhance Operational Optimization:
- Analyze appointment and sample drop-off routing to identify opportunities to improve phlebotomist efficiency across markets
- Support regional resource planning by preparing materials for weekly supply/demand meetings
- Build BI dashboards to improve efficiency and P&L reporting
- Generate Partnership and Business Development Insights:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business reviews for enterprise partners and present findings
- Perform ad-hoc investigations related to partner questions or complaints
- Collaborate with BD team on strategic recommendations for new partner signings (e.g., pricing recommendations, operational feasibility, etc.)
- Improve Clinical Quality & Patient Experience:
- Analyze cancellations, reschedules, clinical quality, etc. across markets and partners to surface operational insights and drive recommendations
- Perform deep-dives and root causes analysis to identify opportunities for service level improvements
- Drive Growth & Expansion InitiativesAssist in evaluating greenfield geographic expansion opportunities, which will include refining existing demand forecasting models
- Prepare geographic coverage analyses for existing and prospective enterprise partners
- .Investor Relations:
- Refine/automate certain quarterly board reporting processes
- Respond to investor data room requests on an ad-hod basis
Our take
Around 70% of all medical decisions are based on lab results, yet 30% of all patients skip their lab orders. Getlabs is aiming to eliminate the friction causing individuals to skip blood tests, by bringing the lab to people's homes.
The company charges for drawing the labs, and a patient's insurance pays for the blood work to be processed, as it normally would. To get blood drawn at home, Getlabs charges the patient between $29-$49, up to twice the price of a normal lab test.
Getlabs was formed after its founder saw a gap in the virtual healthcare system, which is expanding rapidly - with companies like Capsule, Amazon Pharmacy and PillPack (owned by Amazon) offering prescription delivery to your door. Getlabs plans to partner fully with telemedicine services so patients never have to leave their homes - beginning with a collaboration with in-home primary care clinic Nice Healthcare and genome company Inocras.
