Who you are

- 8+ years of experience in event strategy, trade show management, and corporate event planning, preferably in a SaaS-based B2B technology company
- Proven experience managing large-scale, high-visibility events with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex logistics, and drive alignment across departments
- Expertise in budget management, cost optimization, and financial reconciliation
- Strong ability to strategically problem-solve and make real-time decisions under pressure
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

What the job involves
- Salsify is seeking a Senior Events Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of our high-impact trade shows and corporate events. This role is critical in driving brand awareness, generating sales pipeline, and creating engaging experiences for customers and prospects
- As a Senior Events Manager, you will own the end-to-end event strategy and execution, ensuring seamless delivery and alignment with business objectives. You will work cross-functionally across Marketing, Sales, and Executive teams to develop compelling event experiences, manage complex logistics, and measure event success
- Develop and implement a comprehensive event strategy, ensuring alignment with marketing and sales objectives
- Own the end-to-end event lifecycle, including planning, logistics, execution, and post-event analysis
- Oversee the development of trade show booths, sponsorships, and marketing activations, ensuring impactful brand presence
- Manage event staffing, speaker coordination, and audience engagement strategies
- Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, external vendors, and trade show organizers
- Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Executive teams to ensure events drive measurable business impact
- Lead internal teams through pre-event planning, execution, and post-event follow-ups, ensuring alignment with key objectives
- Manage event budgets, contracts, and vendor negotiations, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI
- Oversee all logistical aspects, including venue selection, exhibit design, travel coordination, and on-site execution
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and risk management protocols
- Develop KPIs and success metrics to evaluate event effectiveness and business impact
- Conduct post-event reporting, including attendee feedback, pipeline contribution analysis, and recommendations for future improvements
- Drive continuous innovation in event experiences to enhance engagement and return on investment

Salsify provides eCommerce retailers with a single platform to keep tabs on inventory, and unify and enrich product content descriptions used at all points of sales. The company can also manage customers’ journeys through data analysis which can allow for more personalized, engaging messaging.
As the retail world shifts more towards eCommerce, brands have to give more consideration to the customer’s digital experience from first impression to purchase. This proves challenging as each route to sale differs from the next, which in turn creates the need for a stack like Salsify.
It’s not the only company of its kind, with the likes of Salesforce and Contently having products with similar functions, but Salsify is performing strongly and has an impressive set of customers on its books including Coca-Cola and Mars. Having raised substantial funding, the company reached unicorn status in 2022, with investment cited to enable Salsify to deliver on its vision to serve as the global system of record and work for digital commerce experiences.
