Role
Who you are
- 12+ years of experience in enterprise account management or strategic sales—preferably in startup, SaaS, or cloud environments
- Experience working with global accounts and developing complex partner ecosystems (OEMs, resellers, cloud partners)
- A consultative, value-selling approach with the ability to tailor strategies to customer needs
- A strong technical foundation—storage or data experience is a plus, but curiosity and a drive to learn are even more important
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business units, including C-level leadership
- Experience with account planning, executive briefings, and driving cross-functional initiatives
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, acting as a trusted advisor, and driving clarity across complex relationships
- Familiarity with file systems, cloud infrastructure, and hybrid storage solutions preferred
What the job involves
- Qumulo is looking for a seasoned Strategic Account Manager in the New York Metro Area to lead some of our most critical global accounts
- You'll build deep partnerships with executive stakeholders, drive long-term growth, and collaborate across teams to deliver transformative solutions

- Serve as the senior point of contact for Qumulo’s largest strategic customers, driving account growth and long-term success
- Develop and maintain deep relationships with executive stakeholders—both within the customer and at Qumulo
- Lead strategic joint account planning initiatives with customers and OEM partners
- Partner closely with product and engineering to influence roadmap innovation based on customer needs
- Coordinate globally across internal and external teams to ensure unified execution and value delivery
- Engage executives in the field to support large-scale digital transformation programs
- Collaborate on ABM (account-based marketing) campaigns to amplify customer engagement
- Track account health, manage renewals, and identify expansion opportunities that drive value for both customer and company

Modern businesses process, generate and store vast amounts of data, and this is only accelerating as companies adopt hybrid and remote work and find new ways to take advantage of the information they are accumulating. However, this data has to be stored somewhere, and as businesses scale, they find they run out of room. Qumulo exists to offer an alternative to costly in-house solutions with an exabyte-scale data storage solution.
Qumulo offers a variety of cloud, hybrid and on-premises storage options, each taking advantage of the latest advances in storage technology, allowing a company to reliably scale its data requirements without costly infrastructure upgrades. Its platform also embeds a range of tools for creating workflows and applications with the file data for easy management and migration to cloud servers. This flexibility has seen Qumulo's product used by hundreds of companies from a range of business sectors, including Industrial Brothers, UC San Diego Supercomputer Centre and Progenity.
Qumulo has grown rapidly since its founding, experiencing 100% year-on-year growth through 2020 and attracting a large infusion of funding in a Series E round led by BlackRock. It has been investing heavily in its platform and technology, specifically taking advantage of increasing capabilities and decreasing costs in flash storage. As the data requirements of businesses only increase, Qumulo seems well positioned to continue its success streak.
