Who you are
- Previous working experience: 5+ years of experience in software development
- 5+ years of international experience in software development in various industry sectors
- Experience with Java and Kotlin
- Experience with backend paradigms and challenges
- Demonstrated ability of breaking down complex challenges in actionable tasks
- Motivated to learn new technologies and work with new platforms
What the job involves
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Working hours: 40hrs/week
- Working Location: Hybrid/Berlin or Remote in the European Union
- Reports to: Vice President Engineering Architecture in Engineering
- Your team will define the architecture of Wire integrations services and SDKs
- In the short term, maintain existing components in Java/Kotlin for immediate needs
- In the long term, re-architecture them to meet new requirements
- Document architectural choices and protocols
- Ensure high code quality, by adhering to industry standards
- Implement appropriate coverage with unit, integration and end-to-end tests
- Proactively communicate blockers and concerns to stakeholders in a timely manner
