Role
Who you are
- Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, particularly in accounting software
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial workflows
- Knowledge of automation testing tools is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written skills
Desirable
- Experience testing Accounting, Finance Software and other type or ERP
- Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- General knowledge of QuickBooks & other accounting software
- Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
What the job involves
- As a Senior Software Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through thorough testing and analysis
- You will work closely with the development team to identify and address any defects or issues and provide recommendations for improvement
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure thorough coverage of software functionality
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize areas for testing
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
- Identify and report defects, and work with the development team to resolve them
- Design and maintain test data, test environments, and test systems
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to the development team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth release and deployment of software
