Who you are
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years professional experience in content-focused roles with 5+ of those years on in-product UX content
- A portfolio of work demonstrating human-centered design thinking and solutions
- Experience leading or co-leading the design process, from early concept to launch
- Experience developing a product content strategy for web and mobile, including designing for accessibility and inclusivity
- Management of multiple projects in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in English, journalism, communications, marketing, human-centered interaction or a related field
What the job involves
- As a Staff Content Designer on our Collectibles team, you’ll help connect buyers and sellers of collectibles like trading cards, Funko, coins, comics, fine art and more
- You’ll collaborate on the design of simple, functional and accessible experiences that also foster a sense of delight, discovery and achievement
- You’ll own the end-to-end product content strategy for collectibles services like the eBay vault, Collection and Price Guide, as well as buying and selling experiences
- You’ll work closely with product design, user research, product management, brand, marketing and engineering to successfully go from early-stage product concepts to launch
- As a full-stack Staff Content Designer, you believe writing is designing. You see language as a design material and you get others to think the same
- You understand how to work in tandem with our UX design team to solve complicated problems with deceptively simple words and how to work within an established content design system
- You will enjoy working with cross-discipline partners to define the margins, strategies and outcomes in ambiguous spaces
- Develop content strategies and frameworks to drive customer adoption, engagement, and retention
- Lead the content design process from discovery and ideation to the final fit and finish of full-fidelity designs
- Use the Double Diamond design process to design, test, and iterate on user flows in close collaboration with product, design, and user research partners
- Drive a cohesive product narrative and end-to-end consistency in partnership with marketing and customer support teams
- Collaborate closely with the Localization team to ensure the English source content will scale to other markets in which eBay operates
