Who you are

- A Solid Foundation: You have 2-5 years of professional experience developing with C# and the .NET framework (we use .NET 8+)
- API & Database Skills: You're comfortable building RESTful APIs and have worked with both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
- Cloud Experience: You have experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS. Familiarity with services like Amazon S3 for object storage or AWS Lambda for serverless functions is a strong plus
- Modern DevOps Mindset: You have hands-on experience with Docker and an interest in deploying applications on Kubernetes (K8s)
- An Eye for Quality: You appreciate the importance of observability and have some familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., StatsD, Grafana, ELK stack)
- A Collaborative Spirit: You bring a positive, self-starting attitude and enjoy working with others with flexibility and an open mind
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent real-world experience

- Application security best practices, particularly within a payments or fintech context

OpenTable was one of the earliest innovators in the online reservation space, setting up shop in 1998 as a tool to enable restaurants to take bookings online. Rather than charging consumers for the service, OpenTable generates revenue via a monthly subscription and reservation fee from businesses.
Today, the platform is used by tens of thousands of restaurants around the world and seats over 1 billion diners per year. The company was acquired by Booking Holdings – the world's largest travel company – for $2.6 billion in 2014, and remains a subsidiary of the group to this day.
OpenTable is the dominant player in the restaurant reservation software category, with an impressive 45% market share, but does face increasing competition from platforms like Resy, Tock, TableAgent, and many more. Nonetheless, this market leader has garnered an impressive reputation, and there is nothing to say it won't hold on to the dominance it has earned into the future.
