Who you are
- Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- English professional fluency required
- Strong research and analytical skills—able to synthesize complex topics into clear, engaging insights
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail
- Strong organizational and project management abilities and time management skills
- Interest in enterprise technology, such as AI, automation, and digital transformation is a plus
- Previous experience in content creation, editorial work, or journalism is a bonus
What the job involves
- Our External Communications Team plays a crucial role in shaping the Celonis narrative, engaging audiences, and building strong relationships with media, analysts, and the broader public
- Our goal is to create and maintain a positive reputation through compelling content, public relations, and storytelling
- We’re looking for a highly motivated Intern to support our External Communications Team in research, content creation, editing, and project management
- This role is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications, journalism, and digital content
- You’ll work closely with the team to support their thought leadership, research, and content development efforts
- Conduct in-depth research on topics like enterprise technology (such as Process Intelligence, AI, automation, etc.), industry trends (manufacturing, banking, public sector, etc.) and business news (mergers & acquisitions, executive appointments, product and technology announcements, events, etc)
- Gather data points, statistics, and insights to support storytelling and thought leadership
- Assist in drafting and structuring content, including blog posts, bylined articles, reports, media pitches, awards submissions, and other external communications
- Liaise with content stakeholders, such as Celonis subject matter experts, internal and external stakeholders, and external partners
- Review content drafts for clarity, and adherence to Celonis' brand voice
- Assist with fact-checking and refining messaging for external audiences
- Track content production timelines and ensure smooth collaboration between stakeholders
- Help manage editorial calendars and content pipelines
- Coordinate with designers, contributors, and other internal teams to ensure timely publication
Our take
Celonis started out in an obscure niche which the company called process mining. Its first product was created to scan data logs for its clients and map out their processes in its entirety - inefficiencies and all. Celonis' product was in essence, to be considered a replacement for costly consultants and quants.
The company has since branched out into an even more niche area that plays on the strength of its products and proprietary technology - such as execution management solutions. Celonis' product found significant uptake across industries like supply chain, manufacturing, and business intelligence which quickly amassed it a wealth of enterprise customers and hundreds of millions of dollars in recurring revenue.
Celonis is king in its industry as it was founded just as data-heavy enterprise operations sky-rocketed. Now, the company is backed by hefty funding and impressive advisors across several industries, still seeing increased investment despite the venture capital market is experiencing a slowdown. Celonis has shown impressive foresight and innovation as a company and will continue to eat the fruits of those labour for many years to come.
