Who you are
- You are an experienced technical product manager with a passion for creating a positive work environment
- You have experience working on software products for the automotive industry, specifically automotive dealerships and are familiar with variable and fixed operations
- You love product development and want to take an active role in Impel’s AI platforms, users, and employees to create a holistic product roadmap and execute it
- You take initiative and strive to understand the business needs so you can prioritize work effectively
- You are a great communicator and ask questions anytime there is uncertainty
- You are a technical leader and comfortable taking on challenging problems with minimal supervision
- You know how to understand your engineers and delegate their work accordingly
- 3+ years of product management or related work experience
- Specific expertise in Dealership operations, fixed operations, and/or other automotive retail software experience highly favored
- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Experience working in an entrepreneurship/startup environment
- Excellent daily communication, responsiveness, and teamwork skills
- Experience working with distributed teams of engineers and stakeholders
What the job involves
- Reports to Vice President Product, Sales and Service AI
- We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who will continue to drive the next generation of AI-powered customer engagement solutions
- You will continue to grow and expand our automotive dealership Sales AI product by discovering the features and capabilities that will help us to drive market adoption, increase shopper/customer engagement with the AI and expand the products to international markets
- Develop, maintain, and execute against a product roadmap for our Sales AI products
- Lead efforts to analyze and plan approaches for partner integrations (CRM)
- Ideate, and drive data-driven decisions using various inputs
- Responsible for the planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, including collecting and prioritizing customer requirements, defining the vision, and ensuring delivery of high-quality features on time to achieve defined customer satisfaction goals
- Partner closely with product operations team to ensure proper measurement instrumentation, monitoring and reporting of product success post launch
- Partner closely with the R&D and Conversation Design teams to provide feedback and requirements for AI-generated conversational workflows with end users
- Understand the dynamics and drivers of critical metrics and provide business recommendations accordingly
- Communicate plans and progress to leadership and partner teams
- Establish and refine processes to ensure quality and accuracy in the Conversational AI products and channels
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in AI, particularly in the context of conversational AI and its applications in the automotive industry
