Role
Who you are
- You have a year or two of experience as a Full-Stack Software Developer and are looking for a chance to further develop your skills with greater autonomy
- You are excited about building products with our customers in mind
- You have some commercial experience with ReactJS, Vue.js or Angular
- You are very comfortable with HTML+CSS
- You have experience using Typescript, or another typed compiled programming language. You are able to write basic SQL to utilise joins, aggregations and calculated fields when appropriate
- You are eager to take opportunities to be mentored and for self-directed learning
What the job involves
- Our office is in the heart of Shoreditch, but our team works flexibly; in-person and remote.. You will be working a 36-hour week
- As a start-up, we often focus on building new features, but we also have to fix bugs and maintain our existing software. Most of your time will be spent coding!
- You will work closely with other engineers and our product designer to build new features and fix bugs in our software. The Product and Technology team is small, but we punch above our weight, and the company as a whole has around 45 people
- We’re looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Developer to join our team in London. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on HeadBox’s mission, to grow as a software engineer and to help us develop our global venue products:
- 3D Studio – AI-powered virtual venue tours
- HeadBox for Business – Tools for our corporate clients to manage events with the help of our in-house Events Sales team
- HeadBox for Venues - our suite of software solutions used by venues globally
Application process
- 1. An introductory phone call with our Head of People (30min)
- 2. Next, an in-person technical interview with the hiring manager, consisting of:
- You giving us a quick demo of a software project you built independently, which you are proud of (5min)
- We then turn our focus to the source code of your project. You will answer questions about the choices you made, and explain how the code which you’ve written works. (25min)
- You will answer technical questions related to full-stack development, which will be tailored to your experience (30min)
- 3. Lastly, a team fit session with other HeadBoxers (30 mins). This gives you a chance to see the office and get a feel for life at HeadBox
