What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our BUX-based team in Amsterdam
- Engineering is at the heart of BUX. The BUX DevOps team is a group of cross-functional experts with a deep understanding of software development, infrastructure management, and security
- We work closely with other development teams to understand their needs and build a platform that meets those needs
- Solutions that are built in code, our solutions are repeatable and built for the future
- We use industry-standard tools and technologies where we can
- We build to scale and build to fail
- Own, maintain, and improve the critical infrastructure behind BUX, including several GKE clusters, Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and MySQL clusters
- Introduce more automation, audit, and access control
- Improve infrastructure and application security
- Own and maintain our monitoring and alerting system
- Facilitate and adhere to DevOps practices, such as Infrastructure as Code, and work on improving the developers' experience

Keeping up with the evolving investment space, the company launched BUX Crypto in 2022, granting its thousands of users access to trading cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
Also in 2022, the company purchased the retail arm of neobroker Ninety Nine, with all its existing retail customers moving over to BUX. This has significantly bolstered its Spanish marketshare, as it moves ahead with a strategy to double down on its flagship application and help clients build long-term wealth moving into the future. The sale of BUX's Cyprus arm to Coinbase in 2024 will allow BUX to hone in on market presence and product capabilities.
