Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of consumer-facing product management experience at a high growth B2C technology company
- Strong quantitative analytics skills. Comfortable with using analytics and BI tools to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans
- Experience leading a cross functional pod with Engineering, Design and Data team members to drive the development of digital experiences that effectively accomplish business goals
- Ability to lead product discovery and solutioning to build alignment across the organization for 0 to 1 projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of product strategy development and roadmapping tools
- Thrive in rapidly changing environments, with a strong willingness and ability to eliminate ambiguity and execute
- A strong sense of empathy with the customer and an ability to use data to inform product decisions

- Experience in machine learning/information retrieval/ recommendation systems
What the job involves
- As a product-centric company, Borrowell is looking for a results-oriented Sr
- Product Manager to create user value and deliver business outcomes
- Youʼll own product discovery and delivery, working collaboratively with a dedicated, cross-functional team of design, engineering and data colleagues to build innovative financial products for our 3 million plus member base
- In order to be successful, youʼll build strong working relationships across the company, driving the creation of new features informed by user research, industry trends, and data analysis
- Define a product roadmap aligned with business objectives, ensuring projects are prioritized to deliver the highest impact for our members and our business
- Conduct market research and utilize data to identify member needs and product opportunities to create new digital experiences to help our members understand and improve their financial health
- Identify, test and prioritize new opportunities and test hypotheses through rapid experimentations against KPI projections
- Work collaboratively with a cross-functional delivery team of Engineering, Design & Data to align, develop and execute the product roadmap
- Monitor key metrics, and identify problems and opportunities to be addressed

The world of personal finance has always been difficult to navigate, but the enormous range of digital Fintech products and services available these days has made it more challenging. There are hundreds of businesses providing loans, credit cards, mortgages, insurance, and banking services, and it is difficult to know which ones to choose without education and a credit check.
Borrowell provides a free credit scoring and financial education service, providing Canadians with a free weekly credit score and helping them to choose appropriate financial services. This is achieved through offering free tips and financial education content before recommending relevant companies, helping users to find the financial tools they need whilst connecting fintech companies with new customers.
The oversaturation of companies in the fintech industry makes finding the right financial tools overwhelming, and therefore Borrowell’s approach of advising users on finding the right services is a smart one. By offering the credit checking and product recommendation service for free, the company encourages Canadian citizens to be smart with their money whilst helping companies acquire new customers.
