Role
Who you are
- We are currently looking for Software Engineers to join our Engineering team and contribute to the development of a high volume fraud technology platform
- Substantial and demonstrable experience in a programming language(s)
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience with Database (design principles)
- Working experience with testing and quality
- Knowledge of Version control
Desirable
- Experience with Golang
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Agile software development
- Microservices architecture
- Containerisation (Docker, KVM, Kubernetes, etc)
- Knowledge of CI/CD
What the job involves
- You will be encouraged to have opinions about the direction of our products, as well as having ownership and contributing new ideas
- In the day-to-day work, you’ll be working closely with other engineers, data scientists and product managers to run software at scale under real-world conditions
- At Ravelin, we strongly encourage learning and development of new and existing skills (machine learning, neural networks, python, Golang, cloud automation etc), so this is the perfect opportunity to grow and learn new things!

Ravelin has developed machine learning-based technology that helps online merchants and their payment service providers reduce losses to fraud, and improve acceptance rates of orders.
The company is aiming to give merchants more confidence in accepting customers and transactions, while tackling organised fraud rings - a problem Ravelin says is a multi-billion dollar problem for the ecommerce industry.
Tackling this problem means there is significant value in Ravelin's offering, and it has already signed up significant enterprise customers like Just Eat and Quiqup. In 2022, the company partnered with Mastercard to enhance its platform, and help more merchants strengthen their fraud detection capabilities.
