- HR Documentation & Administration — Ensuring a high standard of accuracy and care in all record-keeping and general administration
- US Employment Law Knowledge — Keeping operations fully compliant and safe regarding US federal and state regulations
- AI Fluency & Automation — Applying AI tools practically, with extra bonus points for building, automating, or embedding them into workflows
- Office Management Experience: Prior experience in office management, coordinating facilities, or creating supportive, warm workspace environments is highly valued
What the job involves
- As our US PeopleOps Partner, you will be the heart of our US People operations, ensuring our team is productive, engaged, and fully compliant. You will run the onboarding and offboarding processes, act as the primary point of contact for our US offices, and manage everything from payroll and benefits to employee relations
- This is an interim position reporting directly to the Director of People, sitting within a close-knit team of 7
- Lifecycle Care — Ensuring a welcoming onboarding journey for new hires and a compassionate, respectful transition for departing team members to foster a lifelong sense of belonging
- Total Rewards Execution — Delivering accurate, timely payroll and benefits through Justworks while quickly resolving team inquiries
- People/HR Compliance & Administration — Maintaining meticulous records and transparent US policy documentation aligned with legal guidelines
- Team Guidance & Mediation — Providing thoughtful support and conflict resolution to managers and team members to foster a fair, safe, and positive environment
- Employee Lifecycle Collaboration — Partnering with the broader People and Talent team to support everything from learning and development to performance reviews
- Cultivate a vibrant and welcoming workplace: Oversee facilities management for our NYC office, ensuring a warm, lively, and inclusive environment where our team feels comfortable and supported

- First interview: A 45-minute video call with the Director of People and People Ops Lead to discuss your experience in People Operations
- Final stage: A practical scenario-based task and discussion focusing on US benefits, payroll, performance management and employee relations with Director of People and Senior People Partner

Our take
INSHUR has created a technology-focused insurance platform catered to private hire, courier and food delivery drivers, allowing them to take out flexible policies to suit their work patterns. The traditional process of meeting with brokers takes up valuable time that could be spent working. After initial success in New York, INSHUR expanded to the UK, being the first flexible insurance company of its kind. It has a partnership with Uber, securing its place in the market and making it the go-to for many drivers.
With INSHUR, drivers can take out policies that cover them only for the days they are working. They can choose a fixed term from 7 days to an annual policy to suit their working schedule, far more flexible than the traditional options of 30-days, 90-days or a year.
INSHUR launched its in-house UK claims operation in 2020, whilst it has been partnered with Uber since 2018. These strategic moves enable the leading insurtech to effectively provide a supportive, fully transparent experience for customers without outsourcing any of the claims journey. This approach will also help control costs, allowing savings to be passed on to its policyholders.
The car insurance industry has been lacking innovation for some time, so INSHUR and similar companies (such as Cuvva) are set to significantly disrupt the market.
