Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of B2B marketing principles, a data-driven approach to decision-making, and expertise in a wide range of digital marketing channels
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably 2+ years in paid social
- West Coast located (Bay Area Preferred)
- Strong expertise in paid social media marketing, programmatic display, content syndication, and appointment setting
- Proven track record of successfully executing lead generation campaigns and driving measurable business outcomes
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and performance optimization
What the job involves
- LaunchDarkly’s Digital Marketing team is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to help drive our mission to empower all teams to deliver and control their software. This role will report to the Director of Digital Marketing and will oversee and execute digital marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation across our key digital channels
- Plan, implement, and optimize multi-channel digital marketing strategies focused on driving brand awareness, lead generation, and customer retention
- Develop and execute comprehensive paid social media campaigns that align with overall marketing and sales goals
- Conduct A/B testing to optimize ad creatives, targeting, bidding strategies, and messaging
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPL, ROI, pipeline, and overall spend
- Provide actionable insights to the broader marketing team based on campaign performance data and customer behavior
- Define and segment B2B audience groups based on company size, industry, job title, interests, and behavior to ensure precision targeting
- Leverage account-based marketing (ABM) strategies and tools to target high-value accounts and decision-makers
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop engaging ad copy, visuals, and video content that resonate with our audience
- Manage and optimize campaign budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and maximum ROI
- Regularly track and adjust budget allocation based on performance data and changing business needs
Our take
Feature flags are a powerful software development tool, allowing teams to modify system behavior without changing code, therefore minimizing risk. If a business has a new feature they want to test, they can then roll it out to a small set of users before letting it go live. These companies can, for example, get quick feedback on the new feature and fix any bugs, or roll back any changes.
LaunchDarkly allows companies to run tests like this by activating the new code for only a small set of users prior to launch. Typically running these tests requires lots of developer time - a daunting and expensive prospect for most rapidly growing businesses - and can risk disruption to the user experience if testing takes place on the live product.
The platform is used by more than 1,500 customers, including the likes of IBM, Intuit and Atlassian. Signalling a change in strategy, the company shook up its management in 2023 and is now aiming to scale its already strong growth under the leadership of Dan Rogers, a product and marketing specialist with an impressive track record at Rubrik, AWS and Microsoft. It is now well poised to develop into a leading business in the feature management space.
