Role
Who you are
- Newly qualified or part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of financial management
- Prior experience in accounting, financial analysis, or audit (experience within a startup or FinTech is a plus but not essential)
- Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero is a bonus)
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
- A keen interest in the FinTech space and a desire to grow within a fast-paced startup environment
What the job involves
- Own the day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements to provide insights into business performance
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, liaising with external auditors and advisors where necessary
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing financial models, investor reports, and due diligence materials
- Implement financial controls and process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability
- Work closely with other teams, including commercial and operations, to provide financial insights and guidance
