Who you are

We’re seeking software engineering interns who are passionate about music and technology
Coursework towards a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in a technical field
Cumulative GPA above 3.7
Experience with or coursework in backend or full-stack development
A willingness to learn and take ownership of projects, with the support of our team
Familiarity with distributed systems, databases, or web technologies (e.g., Postgres, Redis, React) is a plus
A love for music and curiosity about music technology

What the job involves

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside our founding team on real projects that impact Suno’s product
This role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of technical and design challenges as we build the future of music creation
This role will be based in our Cambridge, Massachusetts office or our NYC office and will work during the summer of 2026
You'll collaborate with engineers to build Suno’s apps for creating, exploring, and listening to music
Help design and optimize services for handling consumer traffic, data, and user engagement
Contribute to systems that are performant, scalable, and easy to observe
Assist with optimizing the performance, joy, beauty, and feel of our products

Our take

Suno is a company leveraging AI for music creation, attempting to make it accessible to everyone, regardless of their musical background. The platform allows users to generate complete songs by inputting text prompts, breaking down the barriers that traditionally separate amateurs from professional musicians.

Unlike other AI music tools, Suno focuses on ease-of-use, enabling even those with no music theory knowledge to produce professional-sounding songs. This approach has already attracted a diverse user base, including everyday people and GRAMMY-winning artists.

Suno' rise has been fast and impressive, but it's now facing serious legal heat, including new lawsuits from independent artists. If it can defend its practices ad show respect for creators' rights, there's still a strong future ahead for the company.
