- Data-Driven DNA: 5+ years of experience in product management with a strong focus on data, analytics, and observability products

What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager of Measurement, you'll be the driving force behind the analytics and measurement experiences that fuel our industry-leading products including feature management, experimentation, and release observability
- You'll be responsible for shaping the future of how our customers understand and interact with their data, giving them real-time insights into feature rollouts, experiments, and monitored releases
- This includes owning the vision, strategy, and roadmap for key feature areas including metrics, analytics and the underlying platform components that process and serve customer data at web scale
- Lead the Charge: Define and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for LaunchDarkly's measurement and analytics experiences, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs
- Build and Deliver: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and design to development, launch, and iteration, collaborating seamlessly with engineering, design, and marketing teams
- Obsess Over Customers: Be a tireless advocate for our customers, deeply understanding their needs and pain points to ensure our products deliver maximum value
- Own the Outcome: Act as the general manager for the Measurement product line, taking P&L responsibility and driving product adoption and growth
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and maintain our competitive edge
- Go-To-Market Guru: Partner with marketing and cross-functional teams (sales, customer success, support) to develop and execute impactful go-to-market strategies
Our take
Feature flags are a powerful software development tool, allowing teams to modify system behavior without changing code, therefore minimizing risk. If a business has a new feature they want to test, they can then roll it out to a small set of users before letting it go live. These companies can, for example, get quick feedback on the new feature and fix any bugs, or roll back any changes.
LaunchDarkly allows companies to run tests like this by activating the new code for only a small set of users prior to launch. Typically running these tests requires lots of developer time - a daunting and expensive prospect for most rapidly growing businesses - and can risk disruption to the user experience if testing takes place on the live product.
The platform is used by more than 1,500 customers, including the likes of IBM, Intuit and Atlassian. Signalling a change in strategy, the company shook up its management in 2023 and is now aiming to scale its already strong growth under the leadership of Dan Rogers, a product and marketing specialist with an impressive track record at Rubrik, AWS and Microsoft. It is now well poised to develop into a leading business in the feature management space.
