Role
Who you are
- 15+ years B2B sales experience, with expertise in selling cybersecurity products and services
- Proven success building and scaling inside, direct and channel sales teams from the ground up, especially in high-growth environments
- Experience selling in the SMB, mid-market and enterprise markets and leading Sales, Account Management/Customer Success, Solutions Architects and BDRs
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to make decisions and adapt quickly
- Deep understanding of solutions selling and mastery of translating offerings to customer value
- Strong communication skills, comfortable interfacing security buyers
- Strategic mindset with exceptional GTM skills to create and execute effective sales plans focused on lowering CAC
- Proven ability to sell cybersecurity products and services to CISOs, Head of Security, AppSec/Dev Sec leadership, and Privacy/Risk Officers
- Skilled at motivating and leading sales teams to achieve exceptional results and consistently exceed sales targets
- A fast learner with a strong work ethic, results-oriented approach, and a desire to exceed expectations
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
- Proactive and fearless in seeking and securing new business opportunities
What the job involves
- We are looking for a VP of Sales to scale our existing business across EMEA with a focus on developing the Channel and direct sales strategies
- We are looking for the difference maker who leads from the front and develops strong customer/partner relationships while building the right team to accelerate growth
- Hire, onboard, retain, and develop a world-class decentralized sales team
- Collaborate to deliver Cobalt’s EMEA sales strategy
- Develop and execute against targeted sales plan
- Seamlessly integrate the sales organization with other functional areas
- Build and train new employees in Cobalt’s sales practices
- Develop strategic industry partnerships
- Maintain and improve existing practices, processes and tools
- Provide sales leadership with strategic target accounts
- Develop a clear multichannel go-to-market strategy that shows how she/he will be able to effectively scale revenue growth by accelerating their high-velocity GTM model while strategically closing enterprise accounts. and to increase ACVs
- Assess and improve upon current sales processes, methodologies, infrastructure and metrics to optimize performance of the sales organization
- Define and implement operational metrics and KPIs that measure, optimize, and continually improve efficiency and effectiveness of sales programs, tactics, and strategy
Our take
Cobalt is a penetration testing platform providing PtaaS to significantly improve the efficiency and deliverability of penetration testing. The company is working to transform a multi-billion dollar industry that is set to grow in value as vulnerabilities become an increasing liability. Usefully for Cobalt, this applies across smaller and larger businesses alike, as the use (and protection) of data becomes increasingly important across all scales.
Its approach, using a curated marketplace of 400+ highly vetted ethical hackers, is pioneering in an industry typically hobbled by inefficient practices. Existing services tend to deliver a PDF list of vulnerabilities at the end of a testing period. Cobalt delivers results in real-time, integrated into the client’s existing environment.
In an age where hacker tech is continuously and rapidly developing, a service allowing companies to match this with continuous (as opposed to periodic) pen-testing will no doubt prove a vital and attractive tool.
