Excellent at communication and stakeholder management, with a strong ability to tell stories using data-driven insights
Proficient in written, presentation, verbal, and interpersonal communication

A self-starter who can drive projects forward with input from various parties
7+ years of strong experience with Sigma or similar BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
5+ years of strong SQL skills for writing, updating, and optimizing queries
3+ years of experience with Databricks or similar Data Lake/Warehouse tools (e.g., Snowflake, Bigquery, Redshift)
Experience in collaborating with data management and data governance teams to implement standards in BI tools
Experience in advising senior management on data insights
Proficiency in Excel & Google Sheets

Desirable

Proficiency in Python is preferred but not required, particularly with analytical packages (pyspark, pandas, numpy, matplotlib)
Experience in the energy industry, particularly solar, is beneficial but not required

What the job involves

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will lead and implement key areas of Omnidian’s business intelligence strategy
This is a unique opportunity to engage with Omnidian's leadership and executive teams to provide cross-functional insights and reporting

Client Reporting & Stakeholder Partnership (40%)
Consult with and drive operational efficiencies for client reporting and cross functional leadership
Understand needs and translate them into business and technical requirements
Communicate and deliver on prioritization with the team
Analytical Design, Report Development and Implementation (40%)
Design and implement datasets, metrics, and dashboards to support stakeholder needs
Create, maintain, and upgrade existing dashboards and data visualizations
Collaborate with Data Management team to create and maintain data quality and governance
Work with data engineering team to prioritize and contribute complex SQL to ELT pipelines
Data Insights and Recommendations (20%)
Distill Insights from cross functional business exposure into research that informs strategy
Create data driven stories and presentations
Communicate & present insights to key stakeholders to support business goals

As one of many options in the move to decarbonize our energy grid, solar power has shot up in popularity in recent years. However, one issue that may discourage investment in solar systems is the lack of post-purchase performance management and analytics options.

This is where Omnidian steps in, with solutions for solar owners and operators - as well as investors with solar portfolios - to monitor and service their systems for maximum performance and ROI. A key component of the company's offering is in predictive, rather than reactive, maintenance, which is proven to reduce costs. It also supplies a performance guarantee where Omnidian will cover the shortfall if a system generates less than 95% of its forecasted annual energy.

With its rather unique approach to the solar market, Omnidian has gained a lot of attention and investment thus far and has been steadily expanding its operations since founding in 2015. Funding in 2023 will support further technical innovation; with plans to provide improved transparency into portfolio performance, job site status, and active remediations to clients. A B Corp certification lends it further credence as a trusted solar solution.
