Junior Build Engineer, Sonos

• 0–2 years of experience in a software development, DevOps, build, or release engineering role, internship or co-op
• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Basic programming experience with Python and/or Bash
• Familiarity with version control concepts and Git
• Exposure to or coursework involving software build systems or scripting
• Eagerness to learn CI/CD tools and workflow automation practices
• Basic understanding of visualization tools (Datadog)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

• As a Junior Build Engineer, you'll be building and maintaining our continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline for Sonos
• You will contribute to and learn about workflow automation solutions including: source control management, build and continuous integration, artifact and release systems, and delivery through cloud services
• Your goal will be to support and grow our ability to help developers go from ideas to code to a releasable artifact
• Build Engineers on the team work directly with software engineers to create solutions that enable the engineers to do their best work
• Source control management systems (Git)
• Software build tooling for applications built on Mac, Windows, and Linux (Python and JavaScript)
• Continuous Integration and Deployment Systems (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Artifact and release management systems (Artifactory)
• Workflow management and collaboration tools (GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Slack)
• Internal scripts used to package and publish software releases (Python)
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS), EKS, EBS and Lambda
