Role
Who you are
- A Masters degree in a quantitative discipline
- 3+ years experience in the Actuarial or Machine Learning fields as a Pricing Actuary, Insurance Product Manager, Actuarial Consultant or Data Science Consultant
- Must have a sound knowledge of Machine Learning techniques, with a focus around model validation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to enable effective communications with developers, Actuarial Data Scientists and clients
- Problem-solving skills coupled with a curious mindset
- Quick learner and highly autonomous, to ramp up to the required holistic understanding of insurance pricing and deliver value to the end customers
- Highly collaborative, you enjoy working as part of a team
- Fluent English language skills
Desirable
- Experience in non-life / P&C insurance
- French language skills

- Being an Actuarial Product Manager at Akur8 means belonging to the team which is the driving force of our innovation, emphasizing the aspects of strategy and planning over those of hands-on coding and development

- Designing proper solutions and develop plans for successful delivery
- Conducting experiments with internal teams and partners

- Animating training sessions for clients, prospects as well as within the company
Our take
Putting the correct pricing on insurance has always been a challenge for insurers. Pricing too low can decimate profits, but pricing too high is a sure-fire way to drive off customers. Despite this importance of pricing, it has generally remained a human task, and therefore prone to errors and biases.
AKUR8 wants to change this, delivering an AI-based solution that automates pricing modelling for insurers, while maintaining the transparency and control required by regulators. By leveraging machine learning, the platform enhances insurers’ pricing processes, reducing modelling time whilst increasing predictive power.
Recently, AKUR8 has expanded its platform with Rate Repo and Deploy, providing a unified, end-to-end actuarial workflow from model creation to live deployment, and with AKUR8 Discover, integrating AI-driven market and regulatory intelligence from AMatrisk. These tools give insurers a single source of truth for pricing, faster operational deployment, and actionable insights from unstructured filing and competitive data.
Alongside this, the company is backed by some serious funding and a global expansion strategy. And now empowers insurers like AZA, Generalis, cementing its position as a next-generation, end-to-end actuarial platform.
