Who you are

3-5 years of technical compliance and information security experience, preferably in a fast paced, startup environment
Strong track record of effectively managing information security and compliance projects for B2B software teams
Manage essential communication and documentation with an eagerness to collaborate cross-functionally both internally and externally with our clients
Manage, review, and audit the customer contract approval process
Experience leading information security workshops and employee compliance training
Experience implementing, managing, and ensuring adherence to strict SOC 2/ISO/IEC 27001 standards
Leading organizations’ best practices for information security and supporting commitments to customers
Maintaining internal records relating to vendors, clients and risk management

What the job involves

Play an integral role in our compliance and information security practices
Assist in third-party assessments of HQ
Identify and recommend upgrades to our security and compliance practices

Our take

Axios HQ, originally the software division of the news company, Axios, became an independent entity following Axios's acquisition by Cox Enterprise in 2022. The company offer a platform that applies Axios's "Smart Brevity" writing style to enhance internal communications for organizations. Features include writing templates, machine learning-driven style and phrasing suggestions, and analytics to track engagement.

In December 2024, Axios HQ expanded its capabilities by acquiring Mixing Board,a community of communications, brand, and marketing leaders. This acquisition was an exciting move for the company and aims to enhance Axios HQ's offerings and strengthen its position in the communications industry.
